Maria Sonevytsky

Pianist and
Accordionist

Maria Sonevytsky's parents forbade her to speak English and watch television as a child, but she was allowed to watch VHS cassettes of the Ring Cycle and The Magic Flute. And thusly she learned about music and dark German drama. Then, at 6, she started piano lessons. Now she still plays the piano, and also the accordion. But not the oboe anymore, so stop asking. She's also written some music for dance, but lately prefers to make loops on her laptop for no clear purpose. Aside from ASM, you can hear her regularly with the Main Squeeze Accordion Orchestra and irregularly with some other people. Hey, and check it out: www.theaccordionproject.com.
